Our Strategic Goal

The current demographics of children enrolment in the school are the following;

  • Birds are between 6 to 18 months of age
  • Rabbits are between 3 to 4 years of age
  • Lions are between 5 to 6 years of age

Siphosethu, Pre-School and Creche recruits and employ teachers from the community, the majority of which will be the previously disadvantaged and unemployed individuals. Our Programme and curricula are designed to cater for both the development of children enrolled in our centre as well as a continued focus into further development for our teachers and other staff members.

Services offered at Siphosethu Pre-School and Creche are embedded in an enriched comprehensive programme which forms part of our daily routine and lessons

Our Curriculum focuses on the following development program

  • Life Skills Development program focusing on arts and creativity, spiritual , moral rectitude development;
  • Language Skills Development;
  • Gross and Fine Motor Skills Development;
  • Social and Emotional Skills Development; and
  • Cognitive Skills Development

Life Skills

  • Visual Arts; encourages learners to be creative and imaginative by manipulating different materials
  • Music and Dancing; stimulates memory and promotes relationships and builds self-confidence and self-discipline.
  • Gross Motor; encampasses physical growth, development, recreation and play

Science

Explores the areas of discovering the reasons for a myriad of strange phenomena in today's world which will linger in the memories of children.

  • Emotional and Social Development; focuses on social and emotional health which includes values which enable learners to make moral decisions.
  • Perception; Key perpetual skills include visual and auditory perception, discrimination and memory, spiritual orientation, hand and eye co-ordination and form perception.
